Shopping with your credit card at Wax Bytes is guaranteed to be safe and secure. To date, no Wax Bytes customer has ever experienced fraudulent use of their credit card as a result of shopping with us. Wax Bytes takes extensive steps to process thousands of Internet transactions securely and safely. Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard for securing credit card transactions over the Internet. This software encrypts all your personal information into an unrecognizable code that is securely transmitted from you to us. When this encrypted information reaches our secure server, we translate it back to its original form and store it safely offline and inaccessible through the Internet.
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 US fraudulent charges. You must notify the bank that issued your credit card of any unauthorized use in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
The security of your transaction is very important to us. Thank you again for shopping with us at Wax Bytes!
Internet Explorer Certificate Info
Internet Explorer 4.01
Microsoft will no longer offer Internet Explorer 4.01 as a download to our customers, as Internet Explorer 4.01 does not support the newer Version 3 certificates. There is no scheduled fix for Internet Explorer 4.01, although this is the last version to support 68K Macintoshes. Vendors that supply certificates for Web security have coincidentally chosen December 31, 1999 for their certificates to expire, so Microsoft cannot guarantee that users of Internet Explorer 4.01 will be secure after that date. Providing applications that assure our customers a high level of security is a priority of the utmost importance to us. Therefore, Microsoft recommends that all Internet Explorer 4.01/Power PC users upgrade to the new Internet Explorer 5 to continue a secure browsing experience. For all Internet Explorer 4.01/ 68K users making secure and confidential transactions over the Internet, Microsoft recommends that you upgrade your hardware and your software. As Internet Explorer 4.01 is the last version to support 68K Macintoshes, and is no longer offered as a download, we recommend to those users wanting to make financial and or confidential transactions over the Internet with Internet Explorer 4.01 and a 68K Macintosh computer, to upgrade their hardware and software. For those Internet Explorer 4.01 users on Power PC Macintosh computers, we recommend upgrading your browser to Internet Explorer 5 as soon as possible to ensure a secure browsing experience.
Netscape Certificate Info
Many older web browsers, including versions of Netscape Navigator and Netscape Communicator, have a digital certificate that ensures secure, authenticated online transactions. If you have a Netscape browser version older than 4.06 (released in August, 1998), you should attempt to update your browser to ensure a continued smooth experience while conducting secure online transactions such as shopping. The current version of Netscape is not available.
